Love Before the City Wakes
Florence has a way of making everything feel a bit cinematic—but the real trick? Get up early. Like really early. That’s what we did for L & M’s engagement session, and it paid off: quiet streets, soft light, and that rare sense that the city belongs just to you.
We kicked things off at Piazzale Michelangelo, before the tourist buses rolled in. The view up there never gets old—especially when it’s just you, your partner, and the rooftops of Florence stretching out below.
From there, we wandered down through the empty streets, stopping by the Duomo, passing the stunning Galleria degli Uffizi, and exploring the grand Piazza della Signoria, all with no crowds in sight. Of course, no visit to Florence is complete without a stroll across the Ponte Vecchio and a stop at the beautiful Santa Croce to admire the architecture and the quiet morning vibes.
Every corner had that early-morning stillness, and every little interaction between L & M felt totally natural—no posing, no pressure, just the two of them being themselves.
There’s something really fun about photographing couples in a place like this—somewhere so full of history, but where the focus is totally on their moment. A simple walk becomes a memory. And now it’s one they’ll have forever.
