Waking Up with Florence: A Family Session at Sunrise
There’s something wildly satisfying about having a whole city to yourself. At 7am, Florence isn’t quite awake yet—just the sound of footsteps echoing on stone and the warm smell of pastry shops starting to stir. That’s when we met for this session. No tourists, no chaos—just one joyful family wandering through a city that felt like it had paused just for them.
We began at the Duomo, which, bathed in early light, looked like a set from a dream. From there, we followed cobbled streets to visit Il Porcellino, where the little one insisted on rubbing the boar’s snout (for luck, of course). Coffee was calling, so we made a quick stop at Caffè Gilli—because every good photo session deserves a great cappuccino break.
Then it was off to Ponte Vecchio, and finally, Piazza della Signoria, where laughter bounced off the statues and the light turned just the right shade of summer. It wasn’t about posing or perfect smiles—it was about movement, play, closeness, and that beautiful mix of being a little sleepy and totally alive.
Early mornings in Florence are magic—but it’s the people who bring the city to life. And this family? They made it shine.
